TRAKEHNER
American Trakehner Association
The Official Registry Book consists of several divisions:
(A) Purebred: both parents are Trakehner with no more than one horse other than a Trakehner, Thoroughbred, or Arabian, in six generations
(B) Anglo-Trakehner: parents are a Trakehner sire and a Thoroughbred or Anglo-Trakehner dam
(C) Arab-Trakehner: parents are a Trakehner sire and a Arabian, Anglo-Arab, Shagya-Arabian, Anglo-Shagya, or Arab-Trakehner dam
(D) Part-Trakehner: parents are a Trakehner sire and a dam whos breed is something other than a Trakehner, Thoroughbred or Arabian
Naming Rules
1. first letter of name must start with same letter as dam
2. names limited to 25 characters including spaces
3. no names with the words “filly” or “colt” as part of the name
4. no names ending in numbers
5. no punctuation marks
6. no duplicate names
If the dam is not a Trakehner it is suggested that you use the first letter of the sire’s name, but any letter is acceptable.
